King Island is anchored in the middle of the Bass Strait between Victoria and Tasmania’s North West coast. Surrounded by some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches, King Island imports the world’s best surfers and exports produce sought by the world’s top chefs. Succulent beef, rich gourmet cheese and crayfish plucked from the Island’s crystal clear waters are but three of the delicacies you can enjoy on your visit.

Barnbougle, located on the rugged northern coastline of Tasmania, is home to two of Australia’s top 10 Golf Courses, Lost Farm and The Dunes.  Renowned for its, untouched wilderness, pristine coastline, cool climate wines and fresh local produce, Barnbougle is one of the most ideal places in the world for a links golf course.  It’s on this coastal strip, where stark beaches fold into undulating farmlands, that Barnbougle Golf Links has been crafted out of an extraordinary landscape.  With fresh Tasmanian air and the omnipresent echo of crashing waves, Barnbougle is the perfect golfing getaway.

Cape Wickham

Cape Wickham, ranked #3 in Australia, is located on the rugged north coast of King Island and is truly a wonderful course, demanding creativity and strategy. The site is unique in Australia with 8 holes adjacent to Bass Strait and all 18 holes enjoying spectacular views of the rugged coastline. The course is gently undulating and interspersed with giant sand dunes and ridges creating an experience not to be forgotten by even the most well-travelled golfer.

Ocean Dunes

Ocean Dunes is a must-go golfing destination.  The course covers 290 acres incorporating rolling dunes and unsurpassed views along 2km of majestic coastline.  Subtle rolling greens set in picture perfect natural locations this is land made for golf.

Barnbougle Dunes

Barnbougle Dunes, rated #5 golf course in Australia and #11 in the world is a links golf course unlike any other in Australia.  The Dunes is a spectacular example of traditional links golf.  The outward nine at Barnbougle Dunes plays through a series of saddles that both shelter and direct play lines. The back nine is more open but arguably more striking, with multiple panoramas of the course, adjoining the bay and nearby Bridport.  Barnbougle Dunes is a course that rewards strategic thinking.

Barnbougle Lost Farm

Lost Farm, ranked #9 in Australia, is an exciting 20 hole links course on Tasmania’s north east coast and provides a challenge for golfers of all levels of experience.  Adjacent to the Dunes, Lost Farm is remarkably different featuring 20 holes all of which are playable in one round.  The course layout follows the coast and inland amongst steep sand dunes with strategic bunkering and undulating greens combining with wide fairways.

King Island Cabins are brand new 2 bedroom self-contained accommodation in the main town of Currie.
Located just 5 minutes from Ocean Dunes Golf Course & over a km to the main street, they are within walking distance to eateries and other shops.
Each person gets the comfort and privacy of their own bedroom.

Barnbougle Lost Farm

Lost Farm Lodge offers stunning views of the Lost Farm course and the surrounding coastline and hinterland.  Located right on the course each suit is only a short stroll to the restaurant, spa, clubhouse and first tee.
